Dragonfly was the driving force which eventually got this organisation off the ground. The Ancient Ways Inc. is NOT just a Charity nor does it intend to represent itself as such although, it has a charitable arm as described in the Constitution. The Ancient Ways is an inclusive community that embraces all paths and accepts all beliefs.

If this is to be successful it needs people's support. If it is successful it will be the first Pagan Charity and Community Service Organisation of it's kind anywhere in the world. Isn't this what COMMUNITY and Tribe is all about? Our Society seems to becoming increasingly dysfunctional and Family, Tribe and Community
are getting lost in the equations.

There is also, my political argument against the current structure and how certain other organisations do things here in Australia. No organisation has any right to dictate to any coven, temple, folkway or group how they should act as "pagans" ... the political workings of a group or coven etc are the groups private business ... BUT we should be supporting each others individual paths and harboring tolerance for each other. We should be NETWORKING more and helping each other out when need be.

This is one of the reasons that the dogma of Christianity and the Islamic crede of religious behaviour have set like stone into the current Society psyche.

Who are we?

The Ancient Ways Inc. is a NON-PROFIT organisation and Community Service established to support, advise, and provide pastoral care for Pagans and Heathens in the community, including those in Hospitals, Hospices, Nursing Homes, Tertiary Institutions; to act as a liaison body between other pagan organisations, Pagan Ministers and the authorities concerned and to run community based functions, workshops and festival of the Esoteric, Occult, Mystic, Metaphysical, Pagan, Heathen and Spiritual varieties. The Ancient Ways Inc. is NOT just a Charity nor does it intend to represent itself as such although, it has a charitable arm as described in the Constitution. The Ancient Ways is an inclusive community that embraces all paths and accepts all beliefs.

What do we do?

The Ancient Ways Inc. or TAWI as we call it affectionately, is an active group of committed people who currently provide Support and resources to predominantly pagan families in crisis. We have a number of projects that allow us to provide helpful help to the Alternative Spiritual Community.

Emergency Shoebox Project provides assistance to Students on University Campuses.

Food Hampers for families in emergency crisis.

And our new Pagan Pensioner Project where each of our member families or communities will sponsor a Pensioner and help them out.

We have regular Garage Sales and events planned for 2009 so if you would like any more information don't hesitate to ask.

Our Motto is currently about supplying "helpful help" that recognises the individual needs of the people we are assisting.

We are legally constituted and Incorporated (Incorporation Number - A39377) and we are here to strengthen Community in an inclusive and active way. Our aim is to work with existing organizations and communities to build a strong and progressive community for our children.
