On a Beach

by MiC Lee-Price

I hear you voice call to me.

On the breeze it whispers low:

"I LOVE you, Michael ~ I LOVE you so."

I close my eyes and feel your touch,

You take my hand, fingers clutched.

I feel your lips caress my soul,

And dream a dream of long ago.

Beneath a tree we were entwined,

I was yours and you were mine.

In that dream you were my wife,

For a time our LOVE was life.

Parted then ~ torn from you,

My heart was broken and my thoughts askew.

Fate had dealt a savage blow,

I grieved for you and died so slow.

Born again, another life,

I seeked you out my loving wife.

Now our love is born anew,

In your dreams you feel me too.

1.

Close your eyes and hear me say:

"I LOVE you, Louise ~ more each day."

Although, this moment, we are apart,

The distance will not break our hearts.

In my dreams this all is true,

You LOVE me as I LOVE you.
