I have to admit it … I am a Sceptic! Actually, it is worse than that, I am also a Cynic! I suppose this make me a Cynical Sceptic …

… but how does one know that they are a Cynic or a Sceptic? If one peruses the definition of both words and analytically compares one's own attitude in regards to said definition then, the conclusion is authenticated although, I would question the validity or authenticity of something purporting to this conclusion to actually be factual.

Being a Cynic or a Sceptic does not mean you can't be spiritual.

I am not an Agnostic or an atheist … Goddess, forbid; I believe that I am extremely spiritualistic.

I always considered myself a Pessimist rather than an Optimist … although, my partner, Dragonfly, continually suggests that I am actually a Fatalist

Another person's perception of who you are may be defined by the outward attitude that you convey when, in fact only part of what is revealed to others is actually true which then, therefore validates Pyrrho and his followers, assertions that real knowledge of things is impossible.

In truth, what WE actually KNOW may or may not be True! To quote one of my own philosophical statements:

In between will be found the real TRUTH!"

Allow me to generalise for the purpose of clarity and to ensure that the reader of this article is not akin to a dog chasing it's own tail. It is my assertion that there are actually three kinds of people in this world.

1. Those who believe that they know what is going on around them.

2. Those who have no idea what is going on around them.

3. Those who KNOW but would rather NOT know what is going on around them.

With all of the above in mind, please allow me to direct the reader to the actual topic and true purpose of this Editorial/ article.

So, what we have is a large bunch of scientific geeks sitting in facilities under a mountain in Switzerland, researching how to create a "Big Bang" in a controlled (?) environment as to ascertain the Secrets of the Universe.

What the F*** ?

There is scientific argument for and against the CERN's Large Hadron Collider which brings me back to assertion that there are three kinds of people in the world and also, Pyrrho and his followers, belief that real knowledge of things is impossible.

Just imagine if you will the possibility that those Scientist who are performing the experiments with the Large Hadron Collider where actually wrong … well shit … there goes doing the washing and hanging it on the line today or watering the grass … quick …let's grab our partner and dive into the bedroom for a really Big Bang!

Can you imagine how a representative of CERN would announce to the World their error?

"Hello. Although, we can't actually ascertain that our research and experiments were responsible for certain global events, which have recently occurred. There is a distinct possibility that the recent Earthquakes in India, Haiti and Mexico, the Tsunamis of Indonesia, Sri Lanka, the Solomon Islands, Fiji and Brazil and the massive mudslides in Peru could but not necessarily be due as a result of our experiments and research. If this is in fact the case, we apologise profusely for any errors in judgement."

This is after all my opinion and my partner continually suggests that it is a fatalistic view point and that the Tsunamis (Tidal Waves), Earthquakes, unscheduled Volcanic eruptions are NATURAL phenomenon and my "End is Near" assumptions are invalid.

This may very well be true. I may indeed be over-reacting. My attitude is probably that of a Paranoid Cynical and Sceptical Factualist with but …

If my assumptions prove to be correct and the Earth does disappear up its own anus … then I get to say: "Told You So!"
